To- DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} C. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. BJ. X8774 BY/Cghlo/K.{Mr Kilner} 20. 7. 26. RE SPORTS PHANTOM. 10-EX. With reference to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EVl/M17.7.26., the above chassis is at present fitted with a rear axle having a track of 57". The front axle at present fitted has a track of 57" but the Experimental Dept. propose to fit one of the new lightened type axles as soon as possible which will have a track of 58". In regard to the running boards the scheme shows the underside level with the underside of the chassis frame, whereas in your memo you specify that the running board should be level with the top of the frame. We are assuming that your scheme is correct, and will arrange for suitable step irons to be fitted. As requested we send you herewith two extra prints of N.sch: 2238 which you require for sending to Coachbuilders. RECEIVED 21 JUL 1926 BY/Cgh.{W Clough} | ||
