I do not know exactly what information you are seeking, in regard to the batteries referred to. If you desire to know the percentage of complaints of the various types of batteries, we may be able to assist you, and also give the cause of the failure as given in the maker's report.

On 20 H.P. and Silver Ghost chassis, the following are the respective makes which have been supplied up to the end of the Silver Ghost Series.

40/50 H.P.

Peto & Radford -337. Exide -3038. C.A.V. -Nil

20 H.P.

Peto & Radford -505 Exide - 629. C.A.V. -150

The correspondence dealing with the complaints is filed away, and no permanent record is kept of the particular instances.

The following are a few of the recent battery subjects which have been investigated.

20 H.P. Chassis.

GDK-25. Exide Battery - 2 cells cracked; in use 2 months. Replaced free by makers.

GDK-43 Exide Battery - returned leaky after being in use 4 months - Rectified by makers free.

GAK-51 Exide Battery - 1 cell leaking after 14 months use. Repaired free by makers.

GA-71 Exide Battery - in use 20 months. Maker's report plates and separators hydrated in one cell due to Electrolyte being low. Positive placed replaced. Customer paid.
