We believe that your difficulty is due to your desire to make a tachometer drive suitable for use with camshafts running in both directions of rotation because we do not yet know whether we are going to use gear or chain drives. If this is so, we suggest that you make a scheme suitable for gear drive only and if we adopt chain drive, we will have to adopt a new scheme.
