The loading and speed should be determined by trial as it is known that this machine would not stand up to the maximum possible load of 18 amperes at high speeds on the bench. on a Bentley dynamo It was also agreed that an experiment should be made to determine whether overoiling the tachometer drive does much damage to the commutator, or whether the oil is thrown and drained clear, as there is some anxiety in respect to the presence of the tachometer drive casing containing oil on the end of the dynamo in this respect.
