DEFLECTION TEST ON GOSHAWK 11. CRANKSHAFT. X4221

We have carried out this test on the engine which was fitted to the chassis when it was at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town. The engine was bolted to a bed plate and the flywheel locked. The crankshaft was fitted into the crankcase with its standard bearings - no connecting rods were fitted. A lever was fitted to the serrations on the front end of the crankshaft.
