RE. 5-GOSHAWK-11 BREAKAGE OF STEERING BOX. X4264

We have today received your wire as follows:-

"PLATFORD - BROKEN STEERING BOX FIVE GOSHAWK SEND NEW ONE BY AEROPLANE TO PARIS DEPOT AS BEFORE". HALDENBY".

To which we have replied as follows:-

"HALDENBY - STEERING BOX LEAVING LONDON BY AEROPLANE TOMORROW MORNING FOR PARIS DEPOT - WIRE LATEST DATE FOR LETTERS AT LAVAL - PLATFORD".

We take it that full particulars of this breakage are forthcoming in your next report.
