X4261 Hy. {Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hsl/LGS.6.22. SPRINGS - GOSHAWK. X4086 X4261 We are sending off to you today a pair of front springs addressed to - Hotel Zesdiguieres, Cours Jean Jaures, Grenoble. We do not know whether this is the right address, if not, you had better notify the authorities. The springs have been despatched by aeroplane to the Paris and we have asked them to forward them on to you. The springs we have sent are the latest pattern/- with increased rating when using them it is necessary to pack the buffer down 1/4". It is possible with these springs fitted, you may not be able to split pin the nuts on the front spring clips. We have no other clips which we can send at the present time. We should very much like you to change both the springs as soon as possible and run with these, because it is evident that the present standard springs for Goshawk are not sufficiently reliable for standard production.
