W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

Further to our letter of the 28th. ult., we regret that we were not able to send the drawing on Friday, as anticipated. We are, however, enclosing one blue print, PDEXP.6178, indicating our recommendations.

1. The section of the bar incorporates the larger radius, mentioned in our letter, and the form of the end is shown alternatively -

a) Formed from the section with the slight sweep of 3" radius.
b) The section of the bar constant throughout its length and decorative in pieces made as a die-casting attached thereto.

2. The attachment of the springs to the bar is by means of Beetle Bolts, embodying the motif of the Over-rider badges.

3. The shape of the spring is as indicated on one of your alternatives.

Will you please let us have your comments on the foregoing, and if you approve we will immediately proceed with a hand-made sample.

Yours sincerely,
R.{Sir Henry Royce} P. Turner
