HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} We have discussed with Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} the possibilities of accepting the first chassis which have been built up already without the sealed tank. It would appear that it would be very difficult differentiate between the chassis or to modify the alloction. As you are aware we have persuaded quite a number of customers to accept the inside filler which is sealed in the place of an outside filler which they had demanded originally as it gives increased luggage space because the filler need not be in a separate compartment. Amongst the first chassis which have been allocated there cases of this kind. It would appear that we shall have to get the breathing pipe and sealed filler on all of the chassis. We feel that this is only a partial solution of the difficulty of increasing the luggage space and agree with the suggestion that on the next 10.000 mile car we should have an outside filler with a rubber joint such as we are proposing to fit to Vulture. After the meeting held at Sales on November 27th. last at which it was agreed to accept the sealed filler to meet the demands for more luggage space, (reported in EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/IH.28.II.36.) we understand that coachbuilders were informed that the chassis would come through with this feature. Our Stock Bodies will have been modified accordingly. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
