X.3439 RE FLY WHEEL & CLUTCH FABRIC FOR FIXING CONES.

As promised, we actually wrote to the Scandanavian Belt Co. who have always produced our fibre cones for use on the clutch. They inform us that they had never succeeded in producing an endless woven conical belt to meet our requirements.

They made a number of attempts but could never get the dimensions correct as we demanded them, the cones being either too large or too small.

We have impressed upon them the fact that we would like them to proceed further with their requirements and they are therefore making further attempts to produce the endless cone we require.

It must be clearly understood that such endless cones will be hand woven, and not machine-woven, and will not be so tightly woven in consequence.
