To EFC. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7690 E2/M18.8.25. EAC. BATTERY IGNITION DISTRIBUTOR. X.4357 X.3199 X.8690/1 X7690/X8691 The 2 sample distributor mouldings shewing H.T. tracking have been duly received and examined. It was noticed that there is considerable corrosion of the spring washers underneath the H.T, contact posts. Mr. Royce remarks - "Firstly, stop this corrosion. Can we do "without the spring washers on these posts ? "Secondly, might not the acid in the "distributor head produce a coating making "the internal surface of the distributor "moulding conductive ? Compare with other "ignition systems. What do the Delco people "do to overcome this trouble ? " E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
