Re Opening of Derby Airport on June 17th.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has asked me to pass on to you Bkl's memo. attached, with the request that you will provide the necessary cars.

For your information, paragraph 5 of Mr. Courtenay's letter reads as follows :-

"Could some Rolls-Royce cars be loaned on 16th, 17th and 18th (June) for the following duties :-

(a) Meet aircraft 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. at airport on 16th to convey Air Minister; Director-General of Civil Aviation; other Air Ministry guests and pilots to their Hotels.

(b) Convey them from Hotels at 8 p.m. to the Banquet on 16th.

(c) Convey them at midnight from Banquet back to hotels.

(d) Convey guests 9.30 a.m. on 17th from Hotels to Rolls-Royce Works.

(e) Convey them from Works at Derby to Airport Burnaston 11.30 a.m.

(f) Convey those still at hotels to Airport at noon 17th.

(g) Convey those remaining Saturday night at Derby from Airport to Derby Saturday 6 p.m. after the Air Display.

(h) Convey those who are flying off on Sunday morning 18th from hotels to airport."
