re 3 1/2-Litre Bentley.

Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}21/25.2.34

Referring to E.6/HP.29.1.34 I note that the development of the Bentley power unit is waiting until the Experimental Dept. are in a position to give us some results from the single cylinder chassis test unit you have instructed and the new type of head.

I should be glad if Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will say when he anticipates being in a position to do this.

With regard to the second paragraph I gather that this is quite a separate and distinct test from the above, i.e. the running of an engine in a car with four bearings only, and here again I should be glad if Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will say how soon he expects to be able to do this.
