Sft.{Mr Swift} ROY{Sir Henry Royce} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Mr. Hancock. Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} c. BY/CS. ------------------- X8020 BY10/G.13.8.28. PHANTOM CAR - CRANKSHAFT SPRING DRIVE FOR CAMSHAFT. Will you kindly note that with the reduced poundage on the main slipper, it will be necessary to use the 20 HP. damper spring E.53763 for the crankshaft spring drive damper in place of E.71175. The load which these springs should give will be 10 lbs. at 3.5" radius. We should go on to these immediately in the Works, and wherever Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} finds it necessary he will make the necessary change and an order number will be given to him to cover this.
