| FORM Nọ 234. Anglo-American Oil Company Limited. TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT. 83, ALBERT EMBANKMENT, VAUXHALL, London, S.E.11. TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESS:- ESSOCHEM - LAMB - LONDON. TELEPHONE Nọṣ RELIANCE 1261/6. PLEASE QUOTE Ref. T.3/B. 30th March, 1936. SUBJECT. E.W. Hives, Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Dear Mr. Hives, Confirming our talk on Wednesday last, we are extremely anxious to obtain your consent to the use of Essolube "Racer" in the Bentley car which Hall will be driving this year. Hall, himself, had a very successful season on this oil in 1933 and, as I told you, he is anxious to use it this year. I understand that he has already indicated his preference in this connection to Mr. Rowbotham. I am attaching the latest tests on Essolube "Racer" which, as you know, has been used with great success in practically every make of European racing car during the last three years. If there is any additional information which would be helpful, please let me know. We should also, of course, be pleased to meet you on any expense incurred in testing Essolube. I know that you are extremely busy, and that changing over from one oil to another is a nuisance to you. We should, however, be especially grateful for your assistance in this case and you will appreciate that it is a matter of considerable importance to our sales people. I am very sorry that I missed Mr. Rowbotham on Wednesday, as I know this is a matter which I should really have raised with him. I trust, however, that you will be good enough to give him the gist of our talk. Yours very truly, Manager TECHNICAL DEPT. | ||
