X4565 BJ C. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. Sr. C. Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} BY16/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 29.12.24. BALLOON TYRES. ----------------- Referring to BJll/H.23.12.24. the Experimental Dept. have only just received the new Dunlop wheels fitted with 33 x 6.75 Balloon Tyres. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has got the matter in hand, and will report at the earliest opportunity. For the present, it is quite clear that we have only one safe policy before us, and that is to recommend only what we are definitely certain about, namely, the present standard tyre. When a customer enquires, it is evident we will have to tell him we have no positive information in regard to the 33 x 6.75 tyre, but that we are testing same out. Our experiences, however, with the 33 x 7.5 are such as to make us somewhat doubtful in regard to the somewhat reduced size of tyre which we are now testing out. We quite appreciate the difficulty you are up against, and everything has been done to expedite matters. As a matter of fact, we paid a special visit to Messrs Dunlop on this issue, and have assured ourselves that the utmost expedition has been given to forward the production of the new wheels and tyres for our requirements.
