[Handwritten Note Start] AHO We are dealing with the a/m items separately RYK [Handwritten Note End] C.H/9/26 Report on Chassis 10 G.III. after 5000 Miles. Items in which the conditions have not altered are left out. Lubrication of cylinders. These are all over lubricated. There is very little difference in any cylinder. Condition of cylinder walls. There are slight score marks in B' 2&3. Pistons. After hard run, piston tops are covered with oil. There is an increase of carbon deposit. Periods. Periods reported on retard are definitely obviated by opening throttle with ignition switched off. Controls. Controls have since adjusting and tightening up remained OK Exhaust manifold & fittings. Flange on the pipe became broken. We have had a new flange made out of mild steel, strenghtened up slightly. This has been welded and rivetted to the pipe. Fan belt. Full adjustement of belt has been taken up during the continuation of run. Dynamo. The brushes have become noisy and commutator dirty. This has been cleaned. Oil pump. We have again fitted the new oil pump with the holes | ||
