X8830 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. Copy to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} 10-EX. BJ17/E12/9/27 With reference to EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/8/9/27, the Sales officials appear to have little doubt that a Sports body can easily be designed and made weighing about 7 cwt. It will of course be remembered that the body which is on 10-EX for experimental purposes is a mongrel crossbreed which was built originally about three years ago for a special purpose and never used, at a time when coachbuilders were not particularly considering weights as they are now, and to this body was added a large wheel carrier at the back, and altogether the body can by no means be taken as a sample of what coachbuilders can do today.
