W. A.{Mr Adams} Robotham Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
DERBY.

17th February 1940.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

It will be quite convenient for you to collect the Cotal Gearbox on Monday.

For your information, this Box is known as the MK.20 Type suitable for a 3 Litre Engine (not 3½), the torque figure being 144 lbs.ft. This actual Box has done about 5,000 miles behind a 25 H.P. Engine for the purpose of seeing the effect of overload.

I'm afraid I cannot come to Derby on Wednesday, much as I should like to, because I have a Meeting with the Ministry of Information. Would the following Wednesday suit you ?

It was a great pleasure to have you here and I am very glad to have made personal contact with you.

Yours sincerely,

W.M.W Thomas.

Managing Director.
