Messrs. C.A.V. Bosch Ltd.,
Acton,
London, W.3.

Dear Sirs,

We are arranging with our Order Office to place an order with you for 3 C.A.V. Bosch type B2H1 voltage regulators to the following specification:-

It is intended that the regulator shall be mounted in a horizontal position on the engine side of the dash, the current regulation to be obtained entirely from the series winding, i.e. no shunt to be used. The open circuit voltage of operation should be no more then 16.0 volts with the regulator in the warmed up condition.

We think your limits of 14.9 to 15.6 volts cold would be suitable, the cold condition being taken up at an ambient temperature of 18oC. When delivering current the regulator should operate at no more than 13.5 amperes, at 13 volts when in a cold condition. It is hoped so arranged, thus, regulation will occur at about 4 amperes, 15 volts in the cold condition.

These figures were arranged in conversation with your Mr.Robinson who is now at Messrs. Lucas, Birmingham, and we shall be glad if you will supply these three regulators for test as speedily as possible.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED.
