OUR REF. HT/ER.

Jan. 30th, 1939.

Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd.,
Experimental Department,
DERBY.

Gentlemen,

With further reference to your favour of the 24th inst. ref. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}9/JH, we appreciate your remarks with regard to Tyre Gauges but we would respectfully point out that these gauges have been specially designed with a double side grip and we consider it a more natural grip and a more convenient method for holding when testing tyres.

We could however arrange a further flat surface if necessary but this would mean increasing the diameter of the head. We would be pleased however to make a sample of the design you desire and submit for your approval.

The writer will be in Derby either Thursday or Friday this week and would like to have the pleasure of calling on you to discuss this before proceeding with a further sample. Will you please let us know which day and time will be convenient to your goodselves.

Yours faithfully,
FOR AND ON BEHALF OF
PNEUMATIC COMPONENTS LIMITED.

(Signature of Henry Turner)
Director.
