(15) High speed sparking characteristics:-
1 Max regular sparking gaps for all speeds over 1500 r.p.m.
(a) 5.3 m.m.
(b) 6.5 m.m.
(c) 7.75 m.m.
2 Each gap shorted in turn while varying the speed.
(a) Sparks following shorted gaps slightly affected at 3400 r.p.m.
(b) Sparks unaffected.
(c) " "
3 Sparks from both sides appear equal.

(16) Low speed sparking characteristics:-
Speeds:- (a) 67 r.p.m.
(b) 68 r.p.m.
(c) 69 r.p.m.

(17) Flinging of contact breaker at high speed:-
