Thank you for your memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}I/AP.7.8.37, We have carried out your suggestion of marking the eye and tube to observe what rotation takes place, should they come loose again. We are sure that the tube and front lock nut had not turned on the front eye; they were very tight. The amount of angular movement necessary to tighten the rear eye up again was very small, but even the slight amount of looseness allowed a lot of movement due to the sloppy fit of the thread.
