BENTLEY EXHAUST SYSTEM.

A failure occurred on the Bentley exhaust system whilst we were runnning tests on pistons in England. A modification was made to rectify this which is shown on LeC.3696. This scheme is now running in France. We recommend that production should work to this scheme instead of making parts that we know will give trouble. We shall have completed 5000 - 6000 miles in France before any cars leave test.
