RE. CLUTCH SLIPPING.

We have just concluded some tests on 19-G-IV. for the above trouble. As mentioned in a previous report we suspected the involute teeth on the pressure plate binding on the sides, due to insufficient clearance when overheated. We have confirmed this by increasing the clearance on each tooth at the sides from .005" to .010".

This car is now free from clutch trouble, and we cannot re-produce any binding of the pressure plate by rough treatment or overheating.
