All others examined have given figures well below this, some going down to 6000 lbs.

The oil produced in this country contains no corrosive substances in a free state but in order to produce good results with hypoid gears the American EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} oils have traces of free Sulphur. When these oils are used, no phosphor bronze should contact with them.
