Hancock - Head Chateauroux}21/KW.13.10.36. L E Smith - Please note Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Bentley & 30 HP. Clutch Changes. There have been several instances when changing a complete clutch unit, the time markings on the clutch case have not coincided with the original. The reason for this is that the flywheel is attached by 12 bolts to the crank flange and the clutch is attached by 6 bolts to the flywheel. The locating pin for the clutch has not got a definite position relative to the pins of the crankshaft; consequently the timing marks on the clutch housing can be 30° out on the multiple of 30. I have taken this up with By and arrangements are being made to have a definite location for the dowel pin. GWHancock Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/G.W.Hancock. | ||
