Referring to Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/HB.{C. E. Harcombe}27/G.16.12.37. after weighing up the information conveyed in Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}2/AF.25.10.37. and Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}5/MH.{M. Huckerby}22.12.37., I am satisfied that we should use 1.750 as the diameter of the axle shaft at the large end, where it fits into the ball bearing.
This is possibly on the large side, but we must above all things be safe, and run no risk of fracture at this point.
