Test Bench - 6-cylinder Eagle - fitted with Silencer arrangement. SUMMARY OF TEST. Attached print shows results of tests. The Ricardo Shell Oil shows a definite advantage over Castrol and slight improvement over gas engine oil. The falling off in power at high speeds with gas engine oil was confirmed and proved to occur. We are arranging to carry out tests on a 40/50 and 20 HP. engine with Ricardo Shell.
