Rolls Royce Limited, D E R B Y. re FRONT WHEEL BRAKES Gentlemen, We thank you for the interest shown by two of your staff on the occasion of our representatives visit to your works on Wednesday last. Unfortunately the roads were dry and it was impossible to give a true demonstration of the perfect control, obtained by the use of our patent Front Wheel Brakes, on greasy roads. The writer will be very pleased to place a car at your disposal for the purpose of taking any test that you may require. Our Brakes give perfect control on the most greasy road surface in fact we have never yet been able to get the car out of control under the worst conditions either in London or in the provinces. The most severe tests have been taken with this end in view. This can naturally only be understood by an actual trial by yourselves and we therefore suggest that if you could possibly arrange it, a trial on the London streets, when the roads are greasy and ideal for skidding purposes would be the best opportunity of proving this to you. If on the other hand you are unable to do this, the writer can make arrangements to call on you on Saturday next at your Derby Works. We enclose herewith a Blue Print of one of our small Assemblies which may be of interest and showing the simplicity of the lay out.
