Mr Platford reported to Mr Johnson and Mr Royce that Sinclair had reported that the petrol consumption on a run of 320 miles from Aix to Sens was 15 miles per gallon.

Mr Royce remarks:-

"Splendid. Settles the question of the 16 tooth pinion being sufficiently economical and very desirable."
