with E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} No drive for such has ever been designed nor can they, under the present circumstances, devote the time to doing so. We therefore suggest that you get this particular car fitted up your-selves in Derby, calling in By for any little design you need.

The only possible place from which to take the drive which we can see is through the wheel-case from the horizontal drive to the ignition distributer.

It is not proposed to order a new instrument board. If you wish us to do so we will arrange for it. The cost would be about £7.

We do not feel that this would be money well spent as it would not give us technical data. This is all we profess to be in need of. It is for that reason also that we feel the detachable hood to be quite adequate. When any speed tests are made the hood is removed but normally it is in position on the body, either up or down.

In future work we shall be able to get the effect of the concealed hood, but the administration at the moment say there is no future work. We are therefore not entitled to cater for it.

We would be glad to hear when we can have the car back at Barkers.

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}

I shall be at Barkers on Thus. afternoon next.
