X.682 Mr. Matthews. from EFC. EFC1/T3.4.24. RE PLANT FOR LEAD COVERING BATTERY TERMINALS. With reference to your enquiry I have taken this up with Mr. Minchin of Messrs. Peto & Radford, and he has stated that the cost of such plant would be from £150. to £200. At the same time he considers it would be most inadvisable for us to attempt to do this work for several reasons. One of these is that the small number of terminals we require would not justify putting down a special plant. More particularly, however, he points out that in introducing any process involving the use of lead, we should be up against a whole host of regulations dealing more particularly with this class of work. On the whole it seems very doubtful whether any advantage would accrue to us. EFC. | ||
