Re TYRE PRESSURES.

With reference to Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}'s memo reference Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}11/NJ26.10.21, it would appear that the tyre pressures recommended by Messrs.Dunlop are even yet higher than those we are recommending, which we have as far as possible tried to adopt universally ourselves in dealing with customers cars. We have also recommended this information for action on cars which come into the hands of our various depots, and which are as follows:-

For Open Cars, between 45 and 55 Lbs. according to weight.

For Closed cars between 55 and 65 Lbs.

It will be noted that the minimum pressure, according to Dunlops recommendations, is about 60 Lbs. whereas our minimum is about 45 Lbs.

We feel this point requires some definite settlement, and we shall be glad to hear what is settled, so that information on this matter, which we consider is of the utmost importance can be circulated to our depots.
