Re: M.Georges Paulin.

We were told over the telephone this morning that M.Paulin is now available to do some work for us and By would like us to tell him what we require.

By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} wants to send instructions to Sr.

Our last record of instructions regarding design work to M.Paulin is in our Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}9/N.28.6.39. of which you will have received a copy. The order of precedence was as follows :-

(1) 1/10 Scale models of B.V. Std.Body and "Corniche".

Sr. repeared that these are now ready and tests are required to compare these two models in a Wind Tunnel with that of the Embericos. This work we needed to line up our road work with the tunnel data, in particular with reference to tyre power losses.

(2) Bentley Medallion.

We have received M.Paulin's suggestions for an improved Bentley Medallion just prior to the War.

(3) Bumpers - Rolls-Royce and Bentley.

We asked M.Paulin to produce, designs of distinctive bumpers for R.R. and Bentley cars. We have received nothing.

(4) Corniche (8 cyl). Comet.

We gave M.Paulin drawings of 11.B.V. sufficient to enable him to design a profile front and fit the "Corniche" body to this 8 cylinder Chassis.

Vorture Comete Competition.

We also asked him to make suggestions for an open Coupe body on the Comete Chassis. (No.4) for competition work and shewed him some photographs of Le Mans Cars.

continued.
