For the attention of Mr.Ward. Dear Sir, Re: Bentley 3.B.5. Many thanks for your letters, ref: NAT/JMW. and CLD/VR{E. S. Voller - Orders}/B297, of the 1st. and 4th. of October respectively, re the above. 1. We would like the back flap of the luggage boot to fold down horizontally or approximately so, to act as a luggage grid in emergency. The problem of obscuring the rear number plate does not arise as this item is now on the offside wing. The lid{A. J. Lidsey} should be light, and house the tools as illustrated in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}24/JH.20.9.38. It should be a cantilever. 2. The waist moulding should finish off in a rat-tail. 3. We have chosen the leather from the samples you have submitted and of which we return a pattern herewith. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS. | ||
