Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} West.

We thank you for your letter of the 24th instant, under reference Lr{Mr Ellor}/Wst.8/AP, and have pleasure in enclosing a photograph of one of the cars on which we have carried out screening, from which you will see that the method used is a metal plate covering the engine; other than this no material is used, such as braiding of cables, etc.
