Dear Sirs,

A month or so ago you supplied and fitted a pair of tin gaiters to a pair of our road springs.

Although these were not fitted quite as we wanted them, we have put them on a car to see how they behave, and we would now like a further pair to a slightly improved specification.

In the first place the springs should be smeared with yellow grease and bound with good quality Hessian before the gaiters are fitted, as otherwise we find the gaiters rattle. Also it is essential to provide some means of lubrication, so a grease nipple should be provided in the centre of the lower side of each gaiter.

We are sending off a pair of springs to-day, and our official order will follow.

Yours faithfully,
