PHANTOM II SPRINGING.

We have as you know quite a number of Phantom ll complaints of springing, apart from the trouble of hitting the buffers.

As you will have seen from our report, we are advocating lower rating front springs.

It appears to us however, that we could improve the present position if we were to fully lubricate the front springs with grooves and oil holes.

We are not sure that this is going to do a great deal, but if it does not add appreciably to the cost of the front spring it would be worth doing.

We should like to have your views on this matter.
