X7120 To EY. from E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} c. Wer. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}5/HP.7.2.33. ---------------- Phantom 2,Chassis 19-EX. ------------------------ The above car is to be modified to have the larger bore cylinders, the bore being increased to 4.375.dia. We send you herewith LeC.3310 dealing with all the points: The crankcase is unaltered, and so are the connecting rods. We shall want a new detail drawing of the piston with a piston pin .125" longer in length. The cylinder block casting can be made from the original pattern, but we want the projecting barrels to be produced oversize for this one off casting. The tubes round the cylinder studs have been made smaller, to provide sufficient water space between the cylinders. LIP See me HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
