BENTLEY STANDARDISATION of PARTS.
Description of Parts. MODIFIED TYPE OF JACK & HANDLE.
Origin. To obtain a Jack with easier operation and reduction of weight.
Report of Experimental Test. Of two Jacks tested, one lifted 14 1/2 cwts. 117 times, after which it was found to be in good condition. The other completed jacking up a Bentley car normally 150 times. This was also found to be in good condition. Definitely easier to operate than present standard. The Jack last mentioned is now on B-56-BN{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} for 10,000 miles.
