of RR. and Delco. It is to be noted that both Bosch and Delco-Remy are, with their offset levers, more noisy than the standard RR., and we believe, would not pass for silence on the Phantom.

We are now on the point of receiving the new rig referred to in our EFC5/T21.6.27 which will run three tests simultaneously and continuously. This has not been made as quickly as we expected.

In regard generally to the question of getting electrical experimental pieces through promptly, there have been times when we have been disappointed in this respect, and other times, of which the last week or so is one, when a special effort has been made to complete quickly our principal jobs. When there has been delay, it has generally been understood to have been caused by pressure of other and ostensibly more urgent work.

Our report EFC2/T5.7.27 was upon items considered by us, in regard to your various requests and the position generally, to be the next most expedient for test. We are alive to the seriousness of the situation, and proceeding accordingly. We consider there is good prospect of our experimental tests resulting in improvement.

EFC.
