Handwritten note: DIXON Dear Sirs, With further reference to your letter of the 2nd instant, regarding the Hobson K-S Electrical Telegage as fitted to your 33 gallon tank, we regret that the design of the instrument permits only a 45° scale, and it is, therefore, limited in length by the smallness of the instrument. If it were possible to use a larger instrument, or at least a dial permitting more graduations, the 45° could be extended to give a length of scale of approximately 2", which would permit more markings than on the smaller instrument. The enclosed sketch will illustrate our suggestion with regard to the scale. We are working on the adaptation of a warning light at say three gallons, and see no reason to suppose that this could not be added to the tank unit of our instrument. Our preliminary trials lead us to think that this is quite possible, and we should be very happy if you would let us have a tank suitable for a Bentley or 25/30 H.P. model, to calibrate and | ||
