S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7430 CWB7/GM/30-9-26. NEW PHANTOMCodename for PHANTOM I STEERING. Reference your HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/LG23926. I do agree with you that the spring loaded friction in the steering is very desirable and that better results are obtained for different conditions by making the quantity of friction available adjustable. I will certainly take the earliest opportunity of giving R.{Sir Henry Royce} my own opinion of the results obtained by spring loaded friction in the recent test of 12-EX. CWB. [Stamp: 1.
