X7420 PN.{Mr Northey}10/WT7.11.29. S/W. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}...from PN.{Mr Northey} [Struck through: Copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}] [Struck through: H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints}] [Struck through: HP.] Apparently cases of front wheel brake squeaks on the Phantom are being remedied by the simple means of discarding the aluminium shoe pieces which are held on by the spring, and allowing the spring alone to circulate around the brake-drum, being held in position by some temperary design of clip. I shall be glad to hear whether this method of dealing with such complaints has been instructed to the Depots, and whether a modification arising out of this has come into force yet with our present standard production.
