To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X.4228. E2/M29.6.22. GOSHAWK CARBURETTER. X.4228. Referring to Mr. Hives report Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG22.6.22., in which he asks for us to retain the adjusting needle for the pilot jet so made that it shuts right off. Mr. Royce is agreeable to do this if we make the taper only one-fourth of the original. The idea in making it pass through the jet without seating was to avoid jamming on the 5° taper we have often shown on the LeC drawing. If however the above mentioned alteration is carried out there will not be so much danger of this. Would you kindly issue the necessary instructions. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
