To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. c. to CWB. 45820 R COPY - SECRET. BJ2/H14.8.25. RE. 10,000 MILES TEST OF 'INDIA' IN FRANCE. It is considered desirable by O.J. that CWB. should drive the last 3,000 miles of the 10,000 miles test being made of the India chassis, and that no adjustments should be made or advice given to CWB. (other than that given in the Instruction Book), and that the car should only be lubricated by him or the mechanic who will accompany him (not a Works mechanic). We wish to ascertain how a car which has run 7,000 miles is likely to perform in the hands of an owner, when it is not under special supervision or adjusted every night. B.J. | ||
