Experimental Dept. 1263 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JBD.{John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems}19/JH. 4th June, 1937. Messrs. James Booth & Co.Ltd., Argyle Street Works, Nechells, Birmingham.7. For the attention of the Development Manager. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter ref. DFV/SJN/RA. of the 31st. May and also the attached particulars of Beryllium bronze. At the moment we are experimenting with case hardened steel rollers as the magnetic effect of using them is not serious. There still remains a possibility that we shall have to use a non magnetic material and for this reason we should be glad if your sales department would give us a quotation for Beryllium bronze rod both 7/16" and ½" diameter price per ft. and state to what limits on the diameter you work. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
