25-EX UNIT.

We are particularly interested in not cleaning the pieces of this unit until we have the new camshaft because we want the Shell people to have a look at the state of the engine generally.

We are interested in the cylinder wear and should like the bores to be carefully measured up. We think these the best cylinders we have had after 10,000 miles and should like your fitters to give us their opinion. Our own impression is that this is due to the extra oil to the cylinders.

We want to preserve the piston in which the ring stop has disappeared and take it to W.W. so perhaps you will arrange to replace it.

In addition to the cylinder wear, the big ends look in astonishingly good condition and we should like to know what wear has taken place on these and on the nitr-alloy shaft.
