RESONANCE AIR SILENCER TESTS.

Inside dia. of tuning pipe 2.750"

For 40 m.p.h. roar, length of pipe 4"

For 60 m.p.h. roar, pipe lengths of 5½", 13½", and 25½" are effective, the best being 13½". This distance is also given more accurately than the others.

These tests were carried out on 22-EX on the road with a standard P.II silencing system, 114º Camshaft E.82448.
